Fixed: bulk deal cleanup, workflow field saves, and live updates

We fixed a bug that could cause the "close quiet deals" bulk action to fail with an error instead of closing them. We also fixed an issue where two automated workflows updating different custom fields on the same deal could accidentally overwrite each other's changes. Finally, we resolved a problem that was silently blocking real-time updates, so changes made by teammates now show up live instead of requiring a manual refresh.

Event and booking notification emails now actually send

Notifications for new event registrations and booking offers to providers were silently failing to send — they were being addressed using an internal list that was never being filled in, so no email ever went out. We fixed the underlying issue, and these notifications now reach your active team members and booking providers as intended. No setup is needed on your end.

Insights, now on mobile

You can now check your business Insights right from the mobile app, not just on the web. Insights surfaces patterns Lane has spotted in how your business is running — like a rise in no-shows on a particular day, or a service that keeps clients coming back — so you can catch opportunities without sitting down at a computer. It's the same Insights you already know, just available wherever you are.

Fixed: incomplete business-to-org transfers

Moving a business to a different organization previously left much of its data behind, including some access credentials the old organization could continue to use. This is now fixed: business transfers are complete, and old access is fully removed. The system also double-checks every move before finishing, so nothing is ever left half-transferred.

Fixed broken magic-link sign-in

We fixed sign-in links that go to your email. Before, clicking an expired or already-used link silently sent you to the marketing homepage with no explanation — now you'll see a clear message and can enter the one-time code from that same email or request a new link. We also fixed cases where clicking a valid sign-in link failed to actually sign you in. On top of that, sign-in and sign-up now include spam/bot protection to help keep accounts secure.

Fixed push notification device registration

We fixed a backend issue that was quietly blocking devices from registering for push notifications, so some alerts weren't being delivered. This also cleared a database problem that had been holding up our regular release pipeline, so new features and fixes can reach you on schedule again. No action is needed on your part.

Push notifications fixed

Push notifications weren't reaching devices at all — a database permissions issue was silently blocking every notification from being saved, and iPhone notifications were being dropped due to a mismatched app identifier. Both issues are now fixed, so notifications should reliably reach your phone again on iPhone and Android.

Sign in directly on worklane.ai, with passkeys & 2FA

Signing in just got simpler: you now create your account and sign in directly on worklane.ai — with a password, an emailed one-time code, or Google — instead of being sent to a separate login page. You can add extra protection to your account with passkeys or an authenticator app, and see (and sign out) every device currently signed in from your account settings. Inviting teammates is also more precise: you now choose their exact role and team right when you send the invite.

Fixed sign-in on the web app

Signing in to the web version of our app at worklane.ai/app no longer gets stuck. The sign-in screen there previously couldn't complete due to a browser security limitation, so anyone who tried it was left unable to log in. Now, if you're already signed in to your Worklane dashboard, opening the web app signs you in automatically with no extra steps. If you're not signed in yet, you'll be taken to the familiar Worklane sign-in page instead.

Web console now loads and stays signed in

The Worklane web console at worklane.ai/app was loading a blank page for anyone signing in from a browser. We fixed two underlying issues -- a rendering component that depended on an external service, and an account-storage feature that did not work on the web -- so the web console now loads correctly. Signing in also now keeps you logged in after a page reload, the same way it already worked on the mobile apps.

Android push notifications now work

Push notifications on Android were silently failing to send because the app was routing them through the wrong delivery service. This is now fixed, so Android users will receive notifications for new messages, assigned tasks, and other updates as expected. iOS notifications were not affected and continue to work the same way.

Console app link no longer errors

The worklane.ai/app link was showing an error page instead of opening the console. We fixed the underlying routing conflict so that link now takes you straight to the console sign-in, exactly as intended. Nothing else about how the console works has changed — this only affects how you get in.

Live app previews on feature pages

The feature pages on worklane.ai now show a real, live preview of the app screen they're describing, instead of an old screenshot. These previews are generated straight from the app itself, so the columns and labels you see always match what's actually in the product. They also render as real text rather than an image, so you can read them clearly on any device and with a screen reader.

Worklane console now works in your browser

You can now open the Worklane operator console right in your web browser at worklane.ai/app — no app install required. It's the exact same app as the mobile version, so your Inbox, Contacts, Bookings, Tasks, and Reports all work the same way, just on the web. A few device-only features like Counter mode and in-app calling aren't available in the browser version yet.

Mobile app now matches the web console

The mobile app now supports nearly everything the web dashboard does — invoices and payments, marketing campaigns, reviews, forms, workflows, team settings, community management, and more — all built from the same live data as the web. It also works offline, queuing your changes and syncing them automatically once you're back online. Two mobile-only additions ship alongside it: a dedicated point-of-sale Counter mode with a PIN lock for shared devices, and app-wide Face ID/Touch ID protection plus native phone calling right from a contact's page.

Header, buttons & footer styling fixed sitewide

We fixed a styling bug where buttons on the site appeared square instead of rounded, and the header showed no background color — this affected worklane.ai and every business's site on the platform. We also added new comparison pages that show how Worklane stacks up against other tools, including pricing and what each one replaces.

Worklane app for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows

Worklane now runs as a full app on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows, and the web — not just a scaled-down companion to the website. From your device you can check your reports, manage bookings and reviews, reply to customers in your inbox, browse contacts and deals, and even sign up and set up a brand-new business from scratch. Anything your team configures in Settings on the web — panels, saved views, custom fields — automatically shows up in the app too, no update required. This is the first release, so a few advanced screens (like the website page builder) still open in your browser for now, with more native screens on the way.

Voice agents now greet callers by name

Your phone assistant now recognizes returning callers and greets them by first name instead of a generic hello. If it knows your number but not your name yet, it will ask once, remember your answer, and use it every time you call after that. First-time callers and businesses that wrote their own custom greeting are unaffected.

Drag pages into site menus, and fix hidden nav links

You can now drag pages straight from your site's page list into a navigation menu instead of typing in each link by hand — drop a page onto the menu, a dropdown, or a footer column to add it. We also fixed an issue where a menu could look empty in the editor while your live site was still showing older navigation links; opening it now offers a one-click way to bring those links into the editor so you can manage them, without changing anything visitors see until you do.

Settings tabs that silently lost your changes now save

Several Settings tabs looked like they saved your changes but quietly did not — most notably Tags, where a renamed or added tag could revert after a reload. Tags and Policies now have real editors that save correctly, and the Mobile App and Custom Fields tabs now tell you plainly where those settings actually live instead of offering a form that did nothing. We also fixed two Lane automation settings, inbox auto-close and settings auto-approval, that had become unreachable from the Settings page.

Website pages fixed, chat preview no longer shows raw formatting

Nearly 50 pages on our website — the Features, Industries, and "for" pages — weren't displaying with our latest design, even though they were fully set up behind the scenes. They now show up correctly, matching the rest of the site. We also fixed the small chat preview bubble on our homepage, which used to show raw formatting symbols like asterisks and dashes instead of clean, readable text.

A better Home dashboard

Your Home dashboard now opens with a snapshot of how business is going this week — revenue, new contacts, and appointments — instead of just a list of things waiting on you. The headline calls out your biggest change from the past week, and a new "Lane handled" section shows exactly what Lane took care of, with links to the real conversations, bookings, and records. You can also clear out old, inactive deals in one click instead of closing them one by one.

Lane now monitors system health and alerts on issues

Lane can now see what's happening across Worklane's own systems over time, not just in the moment — so it can tell a one-off hiccup apart from something that has been failing for days. When a real problem comes up, the team is notified right away in the app instead of finding out only when someone happens to check. That means issues get caught and fixed faster, before they turn into a bigger disruption for anyone relying on the platform.

Voice assistant settings now save reliably

We fixed an issue where updating a business's voice assistant could repeatedly fail to save. This happened for assistants that already had a built-in call-hangup feature attached, which our system was not correctly recognizing during updates, causing every save attempt to fail with the same error. Voice assistant configuration changes now apply successfully every time.

Fixed: homepage and site pages with a savings calculator

The homepage and any website page using the savings calculator block were failing to load entirely, showing an error instead of the page. This is now fixed — those pages load normally again, and the calculator shows a computed result right away, even before the page finishes loading its interactive features.

Activity History: new scrollable timeline

Your activity history now scrolls as one continuous timeline instead of separate day cards, loading more automatically as you go, and repeated actions like a run of spam checks fold into a single line you can expand. On phones, all the filters now live in one button instead of stacking down the screen. We also fixed entries that were describing what happened incorrectly — for example, a message Lane checked and let through was previously always labeled as filtered spam, even when nothing was filtered.

Community settings now use toggle switches

The on/off settings in your Community settings — member giving, volunteering, help center articles, and open joining — now use the same clean toggle switch as the rest of your settings, instead of checkboxes. Flipping a switch still saves your change right away, just like before. This makes Community settings feel more consistent with the rest of the app.

Cleaner dashboard: less empty space, fewer duplicate headers

The Lane panel on the right side of the dashboard now only shows up when there's actually something from Lane to see, instead of sitting there empty. We also cleaned up a few Settings pages (Integrations, Brand, Community, and Lane's auto-approval rules) that were showing repeated headings or extra boxes around information that didn't need them.

Workflow run details are now properly protected

We fixed a security gap where workflow run details -- including the actual messages sent to customers -- could be seen by staff members who should not have had access, and in rare cases could show run history from the wrong business location. Now only managers and above can view workflow run details and history, while everyone can still see run counts on workflow cards. This keeps customer communications and cross-location data properly protected.

Lane automation builder now works from Send and everywhere

Asking Lane to set up an automated follow-up from the Send page (or from any other page in Worklane) could quietly fail to produce a working automation. Lane now uses the same automation builder everywhere in the app, so when you approve a suggested workflow it actually shows up on your Workflows page and runs as expected.

A cleaner task list, clearer toggles, and better mobile cards

Your task list now organizes itself into Overdue, Today, This week, and Done, with quick filters and a fast type-and-enter row for adding new tasks — plus due dates that read as "Today" or "2d overdue" instead of a raw timestamp, and a one-click circle to mark things done. On/off settings throughout the app now use a single, consistent switch instead of several different-looking toggles. And on phones (or the compact card view), contact cards now show the same accurate details as the full table, like connection strength shown as a proper bar instead of a raw decimal.

Workflow editor now connects, branches, and runs

The workflow builder has been overhauled: steps now show clear connecting lines, and you can insert a new step directly into an if/else branch instead of only at the end. You can test a workflow safely with sample data before it sends anything real, then run it for real from the same screen, and see exactly what each step did and how long it took. Workflows also keep a version history so you can restore an earlier version if needed.

A cleaner, more consistent dashboard

We gave the dashboard a consistency pass: the top bar, Settings pages, list views, contact records, and the Contacts page now share one polished look and feel. Table columns show their full headers, you can switch between compact and comfortable row heights, and toolbars no longer get cut off on narrower screens. Settings pages now save the same way everywhere, with a clear "unsaved changes" bar, and contact records lead with your data while Lane's suggestions live in their own dedicated panel.

Interactives moved under Courses; Register in Shop

Interactives now live as a tab on the Courses page instead of their own section, making them easier to find alongside the courses they belong to — old links still work. The standalone Register page has moved into Shop as a "New sale" option, and it now only shows up for businesses with the Commerce feature turned on, so you won't see a checkout screen your business isn't set up to use.

Fixed: tab and column pages crashing in the site editor

Opening a website page that used tabs or a multi-column layout in the site editor would fail with an error, blocking you from editing it. That's now fixed, so those pages open normally and you can edit and rearrange their blocks like any other page. Your live, published site was never affected by this issue — only the editing experience.

Notifications center

You now have one place to see everything that needs your attention: a new bell icon in your dashboard shows tasks assigned to you, conversations you've been added to, and other updates as they happen, with a live count so you never miss one. Head to Settings → Notifications to choose exactly what you want to hear about and how — in the app, by push, or by email — or pause everything for a while. Members of your community get the same upgrade on your site, with their own bell and their own notification preferences.

Browse pages from inside the site editor

The site editor's page tabs now look and act like real tabs, and a new Browse pages button lets you quickly find and open any page on your site without losing the tabs you already have open. We also fixed a bug where pages built with columns or tabs inside them could show a section twice, or get stuck when you clicked into one of those nested blocks. Editing pages with more complex layouts should now feel noticeably more reliable.

Editing a live page no longer takes it offline

We fixed a bug where editing a page that was already published could accidentally knock it offline for visitors. Now your live page stays exactly as it was while you make changes — nothing on your public site updates until you click Publish. Unpublishing a page still works the same way as before, only when you choose to do it.

Your activity history now reads in plain English

The History page in your dashboard used to show raw technical codes like "inbox.call_recording_play" — now it reads in plain English, like "Harris played a call recording," along with when it happened and whether anything actually changed. If you ever need the technical details, they're still available behind a "Developer details" option, so the everyday view stays clean and easy to scan.

Smarter empty states and command palette

Empty screens across Workflows, Accounting, Support, Documents, and Payments now show a short "Learn more" guide instead of a blank page, so it's easier to figure out what to do next. The Cmd+K command palette also got smarter: it now recognizes any custom objects you've built in the App Store, letting you jump straight to creating one (like "Create vehicle") without hunting through menus, and pressing Tab quickly switches between search and asking Lane. We also fixed a display bug where the Workflows canvas could appear blank or get cut off on narrower screens.

More room in the site page editor

The site page editor now gives your canvas more room to work in. When you open a page to edit, the sidebar tucks itself away automatically so you can see more of your design — bring it back anytime with a keystroke, and your preference is remembered when you leave. The toolbar at the top has also been tidied up, grouping a couple of less-used actions into a single menu so the buttons you use most are easier to find.

Interactive blocks for your website

You can now add interactive elements to any page on your website: a pricing calculator, a step-by-step walkthrough, a cost comparison, or a process diagram — all built in, no code needed. When building a new site, you can also start from a ready-made page layout for your type of business instead of a blank page, and edit several pages at once using tabs so you never lose your place.

Inbox triage counts, Lane drafts, and a mobile-friendly list view

Your inbox now shows how many conversations need your attention, how many Lane has drafted for you, and how many Lane has already handled — right at the top, in every view. When Lane has already written a reply, opening that conversation puts the draft straight into your message box instead of a blank one. And on your phone, your contact lists and other list pages now show clean, readable cards instead of a squeezed table you had to scroll sideways to read.

Fixed: inbox email attachments now download correctly

Some files attached to emails in your inbox (like invoices, receipts, and images) could show up as tiny, broken files that wouldn't open when downloaded. We fixed the underlying issue so new attachments now save and download properly, and we're repairing the small number of previously affected files. We also fixed an issue where calendar invite replies sent by email (accept/decline) weren't updating the appointment status.

Content plan now finds ideas from any info you've entered

The Content tab now builds its writing suggestions from everything you've already added to your business profile — FAQs, team bios, and your about story — not just services and locations. Previously, a business without a service set up saw an empty plan and was told to add a service before anything else could happen, even if they had already answered customer questions or filled out their team page. Now those existing answers and details turn into real article ideas, and the empty state points to the cheapest way to get started (like answering a common question) instead of the most expensive one.

Import WordPress sites directly from their live URL

You can now import an existing WordPress site by simply entering its web address, instead of first exporting and uploading a WordPress backup file. Worklane reads the site live and automatically brings in its pages, blog posts, and other content, so setting up a new site from an existing one is faster and no longer requires an administrator to generate an export file. If a site cannot be read this way, you will see a clear message directing you to the file upload option, which continues to work exactly as before.

Fixed: outbound call recordings and status

Outbound calls placed from the dashboard's Calls page could get stuck showing "Dialing" forever, and never picked up a recording or transcript afterward -- even once the call had clearly ended. Both issues are now fixed: outbound calls update to "Completed" with an accurate duration, and a recording player plus transcript link now appear on the call, matching how inbound calls already work.

Your website can write its own content

Your business website can now draft its own blog posts and pages, built from the services and locations you actually have on file. Every draft lands for your review first, and if it can't back up a fact — a price, a service, a detail — with your real business data, it refuses to write it rather than guess. You stay in control: nothing publishes until you approve it.

No more mic prompts on public pages

Visitors to Worklane's public website, like the pricing and home pages, were sometimes prompted by their browser to allow microphone access, even without signing in. This happened because a phone-calling feature meant only for signed-in staff was quietly loading in the background on every public page. Microphone access is now only requested when a staff member actually places a call from the dashboard, so visitors browsing the public site are never asked for it.

Cleaner, more consistent dashboard layout

We reworked the dashboard's page layout so headers, toolbars, and the status bar at the bottom of the screen resize smoothly instead of overlapping or getting cut off when your browser window is narrow. The inbox conversation view, settings pages, and the bar at the bottom of every screen now line up consistently no matter your screen size. This is a behind-the-scenes polish pass, not a new feature, but it should make the whole dashboard feel steadier to use every day.

Voice assistant setup issues now fix themselves

We fixed an issue that could cause a business's AI voice assistant to get stuck and stop updating correctly, sometimes for months without any visible warning. Voice assistants now automatically detect and resolve this kind of configuration conflict on their own. If an issue can't be fixed automatically, you'll now see a clear, plain-language explanation of what's wrong instead of a confusing error, so problems get noticed and addressed much faster.

AI phone assistant now only mentions bookable services

Your AI phone assistant was reading your entire product catalog to callers, including retail items, deposits, and other things that can't actually be booked over the phone. It now only mentions services that can be booked, so callers hear an accurate, relevant list instead of confusing extras. If your phone line is already live, this fix takes effect the next time your assistant is re-synced.

Fixed: Square booking option no longer shows as unavailable

If you use Square for scheduling, the Square option in your booking settings could incorrectly show as "not available," even though everything was connected properly. This has been fixed — Square now appears correctly as a bookable calendar option, so you can switch to it and manage appointments without the false error.

Bookings made by staff now send waivers, forms & deposit requests

When your staff book an appointment for a customer, that customer now automatically gets a text and email for anything they need to take care of before the visit — signing a waiver, filling out a required form, or paying a deposit — just like they would if they'd booked online themselves. Each appointment now shows a "Before the visit" checklist so you can see at a glance what's done and what's still outstanding, with a one-click button to resend anything the customer hasn't completed. This is also available when booking from the mobile app.

Facility records and bookable rooms

You can now open a full record for any space, work order, asset, or request in Facilities to see details, edit fields, and navigate between them — clicking one used to lead nowhere. Spaces can also be switched to Bookable, which lists them in Bookings so staff can reserve a room with automatic protection against double-booking. Rebooking a customer from their profile now opens the scheduler with that person already selected instead of a blank booking screen.

A more consistent look across the dashboard

We tightened up the look and feel of the dashboard so text sizes, colors, cards, and buttons match everywhere you go. Status colors (like red for alerts or green for success) now read correctly in both light and dark mode, and page layouts feel a bit more compact and consistent. Nothing about how the product works has changed — it just looks and feels more polished.

Lane panel content, tab polish, Bookings mobile fix

The Lane panel on your Contacts list and customer records now shows real, useful information instead of an empty queue -- think people going cold, upcoming visits, actions Lane is waiting on you to approve, and notes Lane has saved about a contact. We also fixed the Bookings page header on phones, which used to crowd into three rows; your calendar, location, and booking controls now fit neatly in one scrollable row. Tabs and toggle switches throughout the app -- like the device preview on email templates or the App Store filters -- now look and behave consistently.

Dashboard visual refresh + new Lane approvals panel

We've given the dashboard a visual refresh — buttons, tables, and page actions are now more consistent across every screen. We also added a new Lane panel that appears alongside your work and shows items waiting for your approval, so you can approve or skip Lane's suggestions without leaving the page. A badge in the toolbar lets you know when something needs your attention.

Inbox customer panel with Lane's read

Opening a conversation in the Inbox now shows a customer panel alongside it, with an AI-generated summary of that person's history, what needs your attention, and a suggested next step you can act on with one click. We also reorganized the Inbox so conversations that need you show up first, and refreshed the dashboard background and page headers for a cleaner look.

Opt out of AI assistants reading your site

You can now choose whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity are allowed to read your website. A new toggle in Sites lets you block AI crawlers from using your prices, staff list, and other public content in their answers, while your site still shows up normally in Google and Bing search. This is a separate setting from search visibility, so turning it off will not hurt how easily customers find you.

Site rendering fixes: video, brand colors, mobile layout

We fixed three issues that could make your website look broken or off-brand without any error showing up. Self-hosted videos (not from YouTube or Vimeo) now play instead of leaving a blank space on the page. Custom colors, fonts, and styling you set for your site now actually show up on your live site, not just in the preview. And the two-column hero section on your homepage no longer squishes your photo down to a tiny sliver on phones — it now stacks properly on smaller screens.

Per-location services, booking, contact info & maps

Business websites with more than one location can now show the right services, contact details, and map for each location. Customers browsing a multi-location site only see the services offered at that specific shop, and every service now has its own "Book" button that jumps straight into scheduling for that service. Contact and map sections can also be set to display one location's phone number, address, and map pin instead of the main business info.

Book, cancel, and reschedule from the iOS app

You can now book new appointments and cancel or reschedule existing ones right from the Worklane iOS app. Previously, the mobile calendar was read-only — you could see your schedule but had to switch to a computer to make any changes. Booking on your phone now works just like it does on the web, including service add-ons, length options, and choosing which staff member handles the appointment.

Fixed: keyboard could get stuck open in Lane chat (iOS)

On iOS, once you started a conversation with Lane, the on-screen keyboard could get stuck open with no way to put it away except sending a message. You can now dismiss it just like in Messages: swipe down on the conversation, or tap anywhere in the chat. Buttons like Approve and Reject on action cards still work normally while you do this.

Team profiles now show role & photo from booking info

If someone on your team already has a role title and photo saved as a bookable staff member, that information now automatically shows up on their profile on your public team page too — no need to enter it twice. Anything you've already set directly on a team member's public profile (a custom role or photo) is left exactly as-is. This just fills in the blanks so your public site looks complete without extra data entry.

Campaign Wizard & always-on series

Send now includes a Campaign Wizard: describe what you're promoting and Lane plans a full multi-day campaign across email, text, and your connected social accounts, complete with a discount code and a generated image where it fits. You can also switch on always-on series like a monthly newsletter, birthday texts, and review requests so they keep going on their own. Every campaign gets its own page showing how each message performed, so you can see what worked at a glance.

Keep Square for bookings, get Lane on top

You can now keep using Square Appointments for your bookings while still getting Lane's automated scheduling, reminders, and booking help. Just pick Square as your bookings provider in Settings, and Lane, your website's booking widget, voice line, and inbox will all book straight into Square — no need to juggle two calendars. Whenever you're ready, a one-click option lets you move your existing Square bookings over to Worklane's built-in calendar instead.

Telephony console now diagnoses and fixes number issues

The internal telephony console can now explain exactly why a business phone number is having trouble sending texts, instead of just flagging that something is wrong. It shows the real cause (like a stuck registration or a carrier still reviewing the account) and offers a one-click way to resubmit the fix or generate a ready-to-send support ticket. A new account overview also shows balance, auto-recharge, and a log of recent changes, so problems can be caught and resolved faster.

Clearer booking question for mobile businesses

When booking with a business that comes to you instead of a fixed location, the first question used to ask "Where are you going?" — which didn't make sense for a mobile service. It now asks "Where is your appointment?" and clearly shows "We come to you" for mobile businesses instead of leaving the address blank. We also fixed a rare loading issue that could affect embedded brand-deck presentations on tenant sites.

Faster, more accurate WordPress site imports

When you import a WordPress site into Worklane, we now read your page list and content straight from your site instead of scanning and copying each page one at a time. Imports are more accurate as a result — page URLs, titles, and descriptions match your live site exactly, with no invented folder structures or renamed pages. It's also quicker and uses far fewer of your import credits. Sites built on other platforms import exactly as they did before.

Fixed silent MMS picture message failures

Picture messages with a broken or unreachable image link were being marked as sent even though the photo never actually reached the recipient's phone, with no warning to the sender. We now check that an attached image can be downloaded before sending it, whether you're replying to a text conversation or sending a text campaign with a picture. If the image can't be delivered, you'll see a clear explanation of why (e.g. a broken link or a file that's too large) so you can fix it before sending.

MMS connection test now reports accurate results

We fixed the MMS (picture messaging) connection test in Settings so it no longer says "Sent" when the test picture never actually reached the phone. The test now checks that the picture can be loaded before sending, so you get an honest pass or fail, with a clear reason when something is wrong. This makes it easier to trust that your MMS number is working before you rely on it with customers.

Lane now works like a real team member

Lane has a name, a job title, and a status you can see at a glance — live and handling things, or quietly observing. At the end of each shift, Lane sends you a short report on what it handled, what's waiting for you, and anything it flagged for a person to review. You can also correct what Lane remembers about your preferences and contacts, and let it take on more responsibility once it has proven it gets something right.

Team invitations are now more reliable and secure

When you invite a teammate, we now keep a record of them from the moment the invite goes out instead of only after they sign in. This means that when they activate their account, they're correctly matched to the role and permissions you assigned rather than risking a mixed-up or duplicate account. We also added a safeguard so only a verified email address can accept an invitation, closing a gap that could otherwise let someone impersonate an invited teammate to gain access they shouldn't have.

Settings navigation simplified and reorganized

Settings are now easier to navigate — 11 separate groups have been consolidated into 6. Voice assistant, chat, and all AI configuration live together under a single Lane section, while phone and call routing have their own dedicated area. A new Developer section brings API keys and web-chat embed configuration into one place, reducing the clicks needed to configure your business's communication and AI settings.

People tab now hides newsletter & noise contacts

The People tab in Customers now automatically hides newsletter senders, mailing lists, and automated email contacts — so your list shows actual people, not inbox clutter. The contact classifier has also been improved to catch more noise patterns, including no-reply address variants and marketing sending subdomains. Contacts without any lifecycle classification still appear by default, so no real contacts get hidden.

Lane voice assistant MCP integration fixed

Lane's AI voice assistant integration now connects and syncs correctly. Previously, every MCP request returned an empty response, causing voice clients to hang indefinitely — this is now fixed so responses are delivered in full. Secret rotation during re-provisioning also no longer silently fails, meaning reconnecting a voice assistant will complete successfully without leaving stale credentials.

Voice assistant no longer goes silent on calls

Lane's voice assistant on phone calls no longer goes silent after the initial greeting. A configuration drift issue could leave the assistant without instructions, causing it to greet callers and then fall silent. The system now automatically verifies and self-heals assistant configuration after every provisioning sync, and a new daily health check catches and corrects any drift before it affects live calls. A separate bug that caused appointment booking links in voice calls to return errors has also been resolved.

Workflows now book real appointments

Workflows can now automatically book appointments. If you've set up a workflow with a Create Appointment action, it will schedule real appointments using the time and calendar specified in your workflow trigger. Previously, this action existed in the workflow builder but silently did nothing — appointments were never created. Automations that include appointment booking will now execute as expected.

Voice agent re-provisioning now completes reliably

Re-provisioning your voice agent would fail with a "Duplicate resource" error when the underlying phone integration credential could not be deleted during setup. This caused the entire re-provision to abort even when the assistant itself was correctly configured. The provisioning step is now idempotent: if the existing credential is still in use it is kept rather than causing a hard failure, so re-provision always completes successfully.

Voice agent re-provisioning now self-heals

Your Lane voice agent could get stuck in a broken state where it greeted callers but went completely silent — no AI conversation at all. This happened because re-provisioning silently failed when the voice assistant already existed in the background, leaving the bot running with an empty prompt on an outdated model. Worklane now detects and automatically recovers from this state, so clicking Re-provision in Voice Agent settings reliably applies your latest instructions and model configuration.

Try / Catch step for Workflows

Workflows can now recover from errors gracefully with a new Try / Catch step. Wrap any sequence of actions in a Try block — if one of them fails, control passes to your fallback branch instead of failing the entire workflow run. The error message is available inside the fallback steps, so you can log it, notify a team member, or route the record to a recovery path automatically.

Facebook & Instagram now imports all Business Portfolio pages

When you connect Facebook or Instagram to Worklane, your account now imports all Pages your Business Portfolio owns or manages — not just Pages you hold a direct role on. Previously, pages owned through Meta Business Portfolios were silently skipped even after granting "all Pages" access during the connection setup. Your full page lineup — including workspace-branded pages and client-managed pages — now appears immediately after connecting, with no need to reconnect.

Workflows can now call other workflows as a step

Workflows can now call other workflows as a step. When a "Call Workflow" step is reached, the target workflow's steps run inline in the same execution timeline, so you can reuse shared logic across multiple workflows without duplicating steps or triggering separate runs. Nested calls are supported up to 5 levels deep, with a built-in recursion guard preventing infinite loops. Dry-run simulation also resolves call targets, so you can test multi-workflow chains before going live.

Loop step in Workflow automations

Workflow automations now support a Loop step that runs a sequence of actions once for each item in a list — contacts, appointments, tags, form answers, or any array value from a previous step. Actions, conditions, and waits all work inside the loop body, and you reference the current item with {{item.*}} bindings. This removes the need for manual fan-out or duplicated parallel branches when processing lists. Iterations are capped at 100 per run.

HTTP Request action & richer workflow predicates

Workflows can now call any external API as a step using the new HTTP Request action — configure a method, URL, headers, and optional body, and the response is available to every downstream step. You can branch on the returned status code, template a message with response data, or chain multiple API calls together. Conditions also gained five new operators: contains, starts with, ends with, is empty, and is not empty, giving you precise branching logic on text fields and API responses.

Test workflows in Lane Chat before going live

Lane can now simulate any workflow before it runs. Just ask Lane Chat to "test this workflow against [contact]" and you'll get a step-by-step trace showing which branches would be taken, what each action would do, and how long it would wait — all with zero side effects. This completes the Lane authoring loop: draft a workflow, validate it, then test it against real data before activating.

Security: CSP monitoring enabled (report-only)

Worklane now sends a Content Security Policy report-only header that lets browsers flag any resource that would be blocked under a strict security policy — without ever disrupting your session. A new internal collector receives and logs those violation reports so the team can build an accurate allow-list from real production traffic. Once enough data is collected, the policy will be promoted to enforcing mode, hardening the platform against cross-site scripting and data-injection attacks. No action is required on your end.

Lane can now validate and diff workflows before you apply

Lane can now validate your workflow definitions before they go live, catching schema errors and broken references to missing forms, tags, stages, or steps. A new diff tool shows you exactly what changed between your saved workflow and an edited version — trigger, steps, and goals — so you can review every detail before committing a change. Together these give you a safe "review before apply" step when building or editing automations in Lane.

Fixed forms editor routing conflict

A routing conflict in the Forms section has been resolved by moving the form editor to a cleaner URL path. All navigation links within the app have been updated automatically — no action is needed on your part. Form submission detail views and all other forms workflows continue to work exactly as before.

Workflow dry-run simulator

Worklane now includes a workflow dry-run simulator that lets you preview exactly what a workflow would do against a real contact or deal before publishing it live. Each step returns a "would do X" summary — including resolved template values and which branch conditions would fire — with absolutely no emails sent, SMS triggered, or data written. The canvas "Test" button and Lane's workflow test tool, which make this one-click from the builder, are landing in the next release.

Workflow steps can now use outputs from previous steps

Workflow automations can now pass data between steps. If an earlier step produces output — such as the response from a webhook call or the ID of a newly created task — any later step can reference that result directly in its action fields or conditions. This makes it possible to build multi-step workflows that actually compose and react to real results, unlocking far more powerful automations.

Voice webhook authentication for booking & operator alerts

Mid-call voice webhooks — the endpoints your AI assistant calls to book appointments and notify operators during a live call — now support shared-secret authentication, closing a gap where those endpoints accepted requests from anyone who knew the tenant's business ID. Set the VOICE_TOOL_SECRET environment variable and re-sync your voice assistants to activate the protection. The rollout is fully opt-in with no flag day, so existing assistants continue working unchanged until you re-provision them.

Workflow canvas now saves edits

Workflow automations can now be edited and saved directly from the visual canvas. You can remove steps, adjust Wait delays, and reorder your automation sequence, then save the result in one click. Worklane validates the graph before writing it, so broken automations can't be saved accidentally. Full per-step content authoring — editing message bodies and adding new action types — is coming soon via the Lane Build experience.

Workflow automation controls on the mobile API

Operators can now trigger, retry, and inspect automation workflow runs from the Worklane mobile app. Three new API endpoints are available: start a workflow by key, retry a failed run, and view a run's step-by-step execution log — all scoped to your workspace. Native iOS and Android screens to surface these controls are coming in a follow-up update.

Re-run a workflow from the run detail page

Workflow operators can now re-trigger any run directly from the run detail page. If a workflow fails or needs to be replayed, a new Re-run button in the header kicks off a fresh execution — no need to leave the page or navigate back to the workflow list. After triggering, the app automatically navigates to the new run so you can track its progress in real time.

Lane now correctly names companies from email domains

When Lane scans your contacts' email addresses and suggests companies to create, it now correctly identifies the company name from the base domain — so a sender at em1.cloudflare.com becomes "Cloudflare" instead of "Em1." Contacts sharing the same organization's domain are now grouped together before a company is proposed, preventing duplicate or fragmented records. Lane also requires at least two distinct email addresses before proposing a new company, filtering out single-sender bulk mail that doesn't represent a real connection.

Trigger and retry workflows via the public API

Workflows can now be started and retried from any external system using Worklane's public API. Two new endpoints — workflows.trigger and workflows.runs.retry — let you kick off an automation with custom input data or re-run a previous execution without duplicating setup. Both require an API key with the workflows:trigger scope, and any data you pass at trigger time is available inside your workflow as {{trigger.*}} variables.

Stronger security headers on the operator dashboard

Worklane now sends standard HTTP security headers on every response from the operator dashboard. HTTPS-only connections are enforced, URL leakage to third-party sites is minimized, and the dashboard is protected against clickjacking. Public booking pages and embed widgets are unaffected and continue to work normally in iframes.

Typed workflow API in the public client

The Worklane public API client now includes a fully typed workflows namespace. Developers can list workflows, trigger them by key, and manage runs — including viewing run history and retrying failed steps — with TypeScript types that match the server responses exactly. This unblocks web, mobile, and third-party integrations from building workflow automation features with compile-time safety and autocomplete.

Manual workflow triggers & on-demand run entrypoint

Worklane now supports manual workflow triggers — workflows that only run when you explicitly start them, rather than firing automatically on an event. Any workflow (manual or event-based) can now be launched on demand from the platform, with the run record created instantly so you can track progress as it unfolds. Previous runs can also be re-triggered from their original starting data without rebuilding the trigger context.

Public API input validation hardened

Booking requests with an invalid seat count (zero, negative, or fractional) now return a clear error instead of silently corrupting your availability calendar. Document signing now rejects oversized payloads before they reach the audit trail. Community access requests are validated for a properly formatted email address before processing. These changes apply immediately to all public API consumers with no action required on your end.

Workflow Read API — list, fetch, and inspect runs

Worklane's public API now includes read-only endpoints for Workflows. You can list all your workflows, fetch a specific workflow's full configuration by key, page through its run history, and inspect any individual run's steps and errors — all authenticated with your existing API key. This makes it straightforward to build external dashboards, trigger monitoring alerts, or sync automation state to other tools.

"Clean up with Lane" scan no longer crashes

The "Clean up with Lane" feature was crashing during the scan step on real contact data, showing a "Something went wrong" error instead of completing the cleanup. The issue was a SQL query that incorrectly passed an array of company domains to Postgres, causing it to reject the request. The query has been corrected so cleanup runs now complete successfully.

Roadmap filter & search

The public roadmap now has a search bar and filter chips for Category, Type, Surface, and Track. Filter state lives in the URL so any view can be bookmarked or shared. Each roadmap card also displays a type badge — New, Improved, Fixed, or Breaking — alongside its category.

API Keys for External Integrations

You can now create and manage API keys from Settings → Operations → API Keys. Keys are scoped to specific capabilities and individually revocable — ideal for connecting Zapier, custom scripts, or server-to-server tools without sharing staff credentials. The plaintext key is shown exactly once at creation. This is the credential foundation for the upcoming Workflow Automation REST API.

Lane chat now works on iOS & Android

The Lane assistant was silently returning empty replies on iOS and Android due to a stream-format mismatch between the mobile API endpoint and AI SDK v6. Replies now stream correctly to native apps with no client update required. The tRPC lane.ask procedure is also now connected to the real Lane agent instead of returning a placeholder echo.

Smarter contact organization with Lane AI

Lane now classifies every contact by lifecycle stage — customer, lead, prospect, vendor, partner, and more — based on real behavioral signals like paid invoices, appointments, deals, and form submissions, not email domain guessing. The rebuilt cleanup modal groups suggestions by category with plain-English descriptions, lets you preview affected contacts, and lets you exclude individual records before accepting any bulk action. Lane also links contacts sharing a corporate email domain to the matching company record and builds B2B relationship edges (vendor, agent, lender, buyer, referral). A continuous background sweep auto-applies high-confidence classifications hourly, keeping your CRM clean without manual effort.

Improved screen reader support for icon-only buttons

Screen readers now correctly identify icon-only buttons across the dashboard. Saved-view actions (star, rename, share, delete), file-card option menus, settings dialog close buttons, calendar queue-card option menus, and task context-picker controls each carry a proper accessible label. Previously these were announced only as "button" with no further context.
